Our Physicians
Dr. Hennessy graduated from St. John’s University in Jamaica, New York and received his MD from Georgetown University in Washington, DC. He performed an internship at St. Vincent’s Hospital in New York. Dr. Hennessy performed his residency at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania where he was Chief Resident in Urology from 1979 to 1980. He received his Pediatric Urology training at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia and performed a fellowship in Urologic Oncology at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center from 1980 to 1982.
Dr. Hennessy established Urology Associates of Danbury, P.C. in 1983. Over the past 29 years, he has served as the Chief of the division of Urology, Vice President of the Medical Staff and Vice Chair of the Department of Surgery at Danbury Hospital/Western Connecticut Health Network. In addition to practicing general urology, Dr. Hennessy’s areas of special expertise are pediatric urology and urologic oncology. Named among the “Top Physicians in Connecticut” by Connecticut Magazine, Dr. Hennessy is certified by the American Board of Urology, is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and maintains active memberships in the American Medical Association and the American Urological Association.
Dr. Gorelick received his BS and MD degrees from Northwestern University. He performed an internship and surgical and urological residencies at the New York-Cornell University Medical Center, where he was Chief Resident in Urology from 1988 to 1989. Dr. Gorelick performed additional training in urology at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center. He joined Urology Associates of Danbury, P.C. in 1989. He is an attending urological surgeon at Danbury Hospital/Western Connecticut Health Network and has been a clinical instructor at the John Dempsey Hospital-University of Connecticut Health Center.
In addition, Dr. Gorelick maintains an active interest in the formation of health care policy. He is the former Vice President of the Fairfield County Medical Association and presently serves as an associate counselor to the Connecticut State Medical Society. He has also served as an American Urological Association representative to the AMA. Although Dr. Gorelick performs general urology, his areas of special expertise include male infertility, erectile dysfunction and reconstructive urology. Also named among the Top Physicians in Connecticut by Connecticut Magazine, Dr. Gorelick is certified by the American Board of Urology, a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a member of the American Medical Association and the American Urological Association.
Dr. Beck earned his BS from Fordham University and his MD from the State University of New York Brooklyn Health and Science Center. He was an intern at the New York Hospital-Cornell Medical Center, where he also performed residencies in surgery and urology. Dr. Beck performed additional training in urology at the Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center. He was Chief Resident of Urology at the North Shore University Hospital in Manhasset, New York in 1990 and Chief Resident of Urology at The New York Hospital-Cornell Medical Center from 1990 to 1991.
Dr. Beck, named among the “Top Physicians in Connecticut” by Connecticut Magazine, joined Urology Associates of Danbury, P.C. in 1991. He is an attending urologist and has served as Chief of the Division of Urology at Danbury Hospital/Western Connecticut Health Network. In addition to general urology, Dr. Beck’s areas of special expertise include male and female voiding dysfunction, neurourology, prostate disorders, urologic microsurgery (vasectomy reversals) and endoscopic management of stones. He is certified by the American Board of Urology and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. Dr. Beck is an active member of the American Urological Association and the American Medical Association.
Dr. Broder joined Urology Associates of Danbury, P.C. in 1999. He earned his BS and MD degrees from Cornell University. Dr. Broder served as an intern and resident in surgery at the Mt. Sinai Medical Center in Miami Beach, Florida. He completed his training as a resident and was Chief Resident in urology at the University of Virginia Health Sciences Center. During his residency, Dr. Broder authored several peer-reviewed articles on prostate cancer.
Dr. Broder is certified by the American Board of Urology and is an active member of the American Medical Association, the American Urological Association and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. In addition to general urology, Dr. Broder’s areas of special expertise include urinary stone disease, prostate brachytherapy, minimally invasive treatment for prostate cancer, prostate laser surgery and nephron sparing renal surgery. Dr. Broder serves on the Danbury Hospital/Western Connecticut Health Network Credentialling Committee and is the Chief of Urology at Danbury Hospital/Western Connecticut Health Network.
Dr. Rivera earned both her Bachelor’s of Science, as well as her Medical Degree from the University of Connecticut. She completed residency in Obstetrics & Gynecology at New York University School of Medicine from July 2000 to June 2004. She then completed a fellowship in Urogynecolgy and Reconstructive Pelvic Surgery at that same institution before joining Urology Associates of Danbury, P.C. in 2007. She is the only fellowship trained urogynecologist in Western Connecticut.
Dr. Rivera brings state-of-the-art surgical techniques for the correction of pelvic organ prolapse and descent. In addition, she has extensive knowledge in the medical and surgical treatment of urinary incontinence in women. She also serves as Director of Urogynecolgy and Pelvic Reconstruction for the Department of Gynecology at Danbury Hospital/Western Connecticut Health Network, and is involved in training resident physicians and medical students. Her special interests are reconstructive surgery for pelvic organ prolapse as well as minimally invasive procedures for the treatment of female urinary incontinence. She is a Fellow in the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology, a member of the American Urogynecologic Society, and is Board Certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Dr. Bruno earned his BS from the University of Notre Dame and his MD from the University of Connecticut, where he also performed an internship in surgery. He served as a resident in surgery and urology at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York City and was Chief Resident of Urology from 2006 to 2007. Dr. Bruno performed additional training in urology at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, New York Hospital-Cornell Medical Center and New York Medical College. He has published many peer-reviewed articles on prostate and kidney cancer in addition to co-authoring chapters on trauma to the genitourinary tract.
Dr. Bruno joined Urology Associates of Danbury, P.C. in 2007. He was a founder of the Danbury Hospital/Western Connecticut Health Network Robotic Surgery program in 2009 and performed the hospital’s first robotic surgeries. As the current director of the Robotic Surgery program he continues to perform and advance minimally invasive robotic and laparoscopic surgery of the urinary tract.
In addition to general urology, Dr. Bruno's areas of special expertise include the endourological management of stone disease and urethral reconstructive surgery. He is an active member of the American Urological Association, the American Medical Association and the Endourological Society. Dr. Bruno is certified by the American Board of Urology and is a fellow in the American College of Surgeons.
Dr. Manetti graduated from the University of Pennsylvania and earned his Medical Degree from the University of Medicine & Dentistry of New Jersey. He completed his general surgery internship and urology residency at Yale New Haven Hospital in New Haven, Connecticut, where he served as chief resident of Urology. Dr. Manetti has published numerous peer-reviewed articles and was awarded a research grant from the Department of Surgery at Yale University. In addition to general urology, Dr. Manetti’s areas of special expertise and interest are minimally invasive surgery of the kidney, robotic prostate surgery, management of stone disease and erectile dysfunction. He is a member of American Urological Association and an attending at Danbury Hospital/Western Connecticut Health Network.
